Meet Morpheus Media

Shenan Reed
Dubbed the ''Morpheus Mom'', Shenan is often consulted for treatment advice regarding fevers, strange looking moles, minor non-lethal injuries as well as any other syndromes, diseases, maladies or conditions which may arise from time to time. Having two small children at home offers her a great deal of practice and clinical experience in playing Dr. Mom. Calvin (4.5 Years) and Charlotte (1 year) are her greatest accomplishments in life, followed closely by having the guts to start an online ad agency in the middle of the dotcom bust with Jamie and Alex. When not attending to her triage duties, Shenan is turned to for tips and tricks in Excel, DoubleClick, PowerPoint, Keynote and other applications. She greatly enjoys problem solving whether it's for a fever or a pivot table. She is proud to say that her iTunes music collection is the most varied in the office, though most of the team would say she should be embarrassed by the general lack of contemporary artists. Although she can tell you exactly what that 9 in the Excel subtotal formula does, don't ask her to name a hot band, you're likely to get Glenn Miller as an answer.
Toby Evers
Aside from regularly rocking the stage with his band EnglishKils, Toby manages Morpheus' search engine optimization strategies and consults with clients on up-and-coming media platforms and technologies. "My creativity and passion for music translates well in my career here at Morpheus."...
Brie Mitchell
Originally from Connecticut, Brie Mitchell attended SUNY New Paltz where she graduated with a degree in Digital Media Management. After school, Brie worked on various clients at both MediaCom and Starcom MediaVest group where she honed her skills as a digital planner and gained experience in traditional media strategy. After 5 years in the digital industry, Brie joined Morpheus Media as a Manager of Client & Media Strategy in June 2010 and is very happy to be working on Luxury Fashion, Jewelry, Watch, and Retail accounts. When not working, Brie enjoys live music, making "to do" lists and dreaming of where to open her future ice cream shop. She also loves Cape Cod, has an identical twin sister, is the queen of useless knowledge and believes that everything is better in cheddar. She doesn't like losing money to slot machines or having to eventually give up her CT license for a NY one.
Gabrielle Goneconti
After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology while interning with Morpheus, Brie landed a position on the team focusing largely on the wine and spirit brands in the LVMH portfolio. She has since expanded her focus to strategize and execute online Display, Affiliate, and Comparison Shopping Engine campaigns for brands including French Connection, Juicy Couture, NET-A-PORTER, and THE OUTNET.
When she's not chasing her teacup Yorkie, Duke, around the office, Brie enjoys trying new restaurants, watching her favorite TV shows, online shopping, or just kicking back and relaxing with a nice glass of wine.
Paige Ferrante
For Paige, home will always be at the beach. A graduate from Rutgers University, she has always possessed an escalating interest in Marketing. The middle child of a bustling household, no task is too daunting for Paige as she is often found comfortably handling multiple situations at any given time. Wearing several hats at the agency, Paige is the go-to person for any random question/request. A Jersey girl at heart, Paige's list of must-haves include classic rock, seafood, the beach (Manasquan), arnold palmers, and passionate discussions/arguments with her Italian family. At the end of the day, Paige looks forward to kicking back with her friends and family and is always down for a good episode of any cop drama (her guilty pleasure).
Stephanie Walker
Stephanie graduated from Iona College where she received BA in Mass Communications with a concentration in Advertising. She grew up in a small town in Connecticut and couldn't wait to travel to New York for school and finally find some excitement! Shortly after graduation she moved to the big city and couldn't be happier. Stephanie has always had a passion for advertising and absolutely loves working at Morpheus Media. Outside of work her dream is to tour the world playing her music. Since she was young Stephanie has always had a love for music and performing. When she was 13 years old she learned to play guitar and wrote her first song. Since then she has been playing her guitar and singing wherever she goes. She loves going to concerts, relaxing in CT with her parents and sister, collaborating with different artists, exploring new venues and you're bound to find her playing at various open mic nights throughout the city. Although she hates this habit, its not uncommon to find Stephanie twirling her hair in any given situation. And, if she ever catches you singing out loud, she'll be more than happy to jump in with some harmonized back-up vocals (especially if its a Taylor Swift song).
Louis Perez
Louis came to Morpheus Media with internship experience in SEO, and a desire to learn more. He is enjoying his position as an SEO Strategist, and being part of the SEO team. He went to college at SUNY Buffalo, Graduate school at RIT, and does miss many things about his college experiences, but certainly not the weather.
Louis recently moved the city and is enjoying his new surroundings . Aside from being very well versed in movie/music history and knowledge, a devoted Yankees and Jets fan, Louis dedicates most of his time and energy to family and friends.
Liz Pelikan
Liz hails from the great state of New Jersey from a town no one has ever heard of. She began working at Morpheus first as a Social Media intern, then onto Display for LVMH Wines & Spirits, and is now happy to be an Associate Display Strategist for the New York Times account. The road to how she got here, is a long and convoluted one.
Liz would soon find out that her quirky talents would suit her well in Morpheus's casual family atmosphere among her other multi-talented colleagues. She graduated in 2008 from Rider University with a degree in Music and a minor in Film and Media studies, which later propelled her to venture out into the world of digital media. She had been managing a high-end maternity and childrens' clothing boutique for 3 years when (as fate, or luck, or networking would have it,) she met a would-be-future Morpheus colleague at a concert in New York, and the rest is history.
It might have been a very random path to success, but Liz likes to live by a motto printed on a sticker on her dad's old motorcycle helmet: "Experience Makes the Difference." She's got a motorcycle of her own now too, and when she's not riding it, she's probably practicing bass guitar, or giving someone a thorough science lesson on why the sky is blue. Go ahead, ask her a question. She's full of answers, but, probably too many. Just call her Wiki-Pelikan.
Kate Klinck
Although Kate loves all things Boston: Boston Terriers, Boston Kreme Donuts and so on, she always knew she wanted to end up in New York. So after graduating from Boston University, she came home to New Jersey and started working in the city at Morpheus. Kate had experienced many different aspects of the communication industry while interning during college, but finally found her niche in paid search.
Aside from keyword builds, Kate also enjoys vintage shopping, picnics in central park, and chillin with her roommate, Jen OâBrien, who also works at Morpheus (see Jenâs glam shot- approximately ten pictures down). Her favorite thing about Morpheus, aside from the puppies, is the positive atmosphere and the wonderful people!
Matt Tingley
Born and raised in Bridgewater, New Jersey, Matt got his first exposure to Search Marketing while pursuing his marketing degree at West Virginia University. After college, Matt got his start working as the Marketing Coordinator at a small mortgage company in New Jersey before packing up and moving to Brooklyn to begin his career in Search Engine Optimization. After a few SEO freelance gigs and a full time position as the SEO Link Building Manager at ShopWiki.com, Matt decided it was time to make the move to the agency side and has found a perfect fit with Morpheus.
In his free time, Matt enjoys playing his guitar, watching and playing all sports (especially baseball/softball and golf) and is an avid Yankees, Giants, and WVU Mountaineers fan. His latest hobby is getting out and exploring the city on his recently purchased bicycle.
Jamie Weisberg
After spending most of her childhood as a professional jingle singer/voice over artist back in the late 1800âs, and post-college days in the advertising biz (early 1900âs), Jamie switched her focus mid-millennium to Human Resources where she found her brain actually had the capacity to still learn and grow.
So now she will devote her time to wrangling employees, keeping up to date with all the super fun employment laws (and there are a LOT of them, wow!), and enjoying all the awesome day-to-day aspects of the job at Morpheus Media. On the side, when sheâs not trying to catch up on sleep and having a strange affection for Jello Brand vanilla pudding, you can usually find Jamie singing or performing, taking photos, at the gym, watching more movies than is humanly possible, wanting new clothes but hating to shop, and partaking in all the wonderful cuisines and libations offered in NYC.
Jaclyn Stancu
When I was younger, I use to collect issues of Vogue. I was so interested that a single ad page could tell complex story. I knew then that I wanted to go into Advertising.
After graduating from Lehigh University with a degree in Marketing, I began my career. With several years of client side media planning and advertising under my belt, I made the leap to digital and have been with Morpheus ever since. My long-standing love of all things luxury has helped me succeed in managing several luxury brands in media & strategy.
Some fun facts about me are that I hail from the great city of Philadelphia, can smell french fries from 100 feet away, speak fluent Romanian, & am obsessed with all reality TV.
Aly Bader
Born and raised on Long Island, Aly ventured out to the Midwest and attended the University of Wisconsin for the best four years of her life. Here she established a new found love for cheese, ranch, Badger football, and the ability to walk through negative temperatures without frost bite, sometimes.
Aly is instantly happy in the sun and pretty scenery has a major affect on her. She spent an amazing semester in Australia attempting to surf (and by attempt she means watching others) and thinks Bondi Beach is the greatest place in this world. Gossip Girl is her guilty pleasure and she is still devastated on how LOST ended.
If you ask any of Alyâs friends, they will tell you she is not the most technologically advanced person, however, when Alyâs mom tried to take a picture with a digital camera by looking through the lens as if it was disposable camera, she vowed to try harder. Since 2009, Aly has been working at Morpheus as a Display strategist and it has helped her to encompass her creativity and financial background into her daily life. The next time you stop by Morpheus, look for the girl with headphones, jamming out silently to the 80âs.
Charlie Roraback
Charlie grew up in northwest Connecticut in a small town called Goshen. Attended The Hotchkiss School a New England boarding school before going to St. Lawrence University. After starting out as a business development associate for HowStuffWorks.com a large publishing site Charlie left to found a social media company with his brother and boss from HowStuffWorks, who was one of the founders of WebMD. The company was called iPangaea and the product was a global social media community based around special interest groups such as gamers or jocks with a patent pending social currency system built into the site. Charlie and his brother were able to raise over $500,000 from angels investors and venture capitalists before the company folded due to the recession of â08. After that Charlie entered the agency world starting at at Greater Than One, a full service interactive agency, as an Associate SEO analyst on Eli Lillyâs websites. Soon after however he moved into a role on the paid search team servicing Genentech. After GTO Charlie moved to Resolution Media where he worked primarily as a coordinator on the FedEx and ExxonMobil accounts. He also assisted in launching the Pepsi and Showtime accounts while those accounts were staffed up. His most recent position was Paid Search Manager at British agency called Steak Digital based out of London. As the fourth person brought in to start a New York office serving two clients, U-Store-It and Moo Printing LTD he managed the day to day paid search operations in addition to managing the display and affiliate vendors for both clients. Charlie is very passionate about all things digital and loves learning about emerging technologies. He is also an avid sports fan who loves Manchester United and the New York Giants.
Megan Smuckler
An Ohio native, Megan somehow made it out of the Midwest and to New York. She began at Morpheus as an intern, and is now an Associate Display Strategist working with brands such as Net-a-Porter, Mr. Porter, Juicy Couture, and The Outnet. Megan loves her team and is so happy to be a Morphite. When she is out of the office, Megan loves checking into restaurants on Foursquare, tweeting about her favorite new online purchase, and connecting with new and old friends over Facebook. She loves to plan extravagant trips, that hopefully she will one day take. Even though she enjoys going back to Ohio every now and again, she has definitely found her groove in New York.
Tara Kalmanson
Tara joined Morpheus as an intern after graduating from Northwestern University in 2010 with a background in magazine journalism and international studies. Sheâs now a social strategist who thinks sheâs good at boxing and downhill skiing, but is really just a nerd with passions for email grammar and the now-defunct FBML. After spending her childhood in Wisconsin, sheâs glad to be in New York City where the food is considerably more varied than a Friday fish fry and gas station cheese curds.
Max Mogil
Max moved to New York in June of 2010 with a seemingly great opportunity in media buying at a mega agency. After the novelty of having a job right after college wore off, the reality of not enjoying the position set in fast. Luckily, Max knew he wanted to go dive into the digital space. Max moved over to Morpheus as an SEM intern and has been very happy about his move to digital.
He enjoys his position as an Associate Search Strategist, and being a part of the SEM team. Max graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Advertising and Public Relations and minors in business and international studies.
Ariel Dorfman
Born and raised in the state of New York, Ariel Dorfman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison (GO BADGERS!!), where she majored in consumer science. Always interested in psychology and advertising, Ariel put her knowledge of such fields into play as she transitioned into an Associate Account Strategist position at Morpheus Media.
Ariel loves to travel, especially around South America and Italy where she studied abroad. When sheâs not working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her two dogs Henry & Sophie, shopping, going to museums, and trying new restaurants is always up for trying new things. Ariel loves meeting new people and learning about new cultures, and embraces these things at this stage of her life where she recently moved to Manhattan.
Rachel Resnick
Born and raised in Boston, I started off my advertising career in Beantown after graduating with a degree in Psychology from Brandeis University.
I was lured to the city that never sleeps by exciting career opportunities and the ability to get anything--from bagels to a manicure--at any time of day. Although I have grown to love everything the big apple has to offer, I will never give up my loyalty to the Red Sox.
When I'm not planning out display strategies, you can find me exploring the city with friends, reading in a coffee shop or people-watching in central park. I also love to travel and plan to make it to at least two more
continents in my lifetime.
Ben Gibson
Simon Gibson, Toby Evers, Louis Perez⦠Just a few reasons why it was easy to fall head first into Morpheus Media and dedicate myself to the pursuit of SEO excellence.
Being surrounded by some of the brightest 30-something minds in the industry was precisely the catalyst required to push my career into the next phase. Plus, it provided more opportunities to be a roadie for one of todayâs best rock bands, English Kills.
Being British and studying electrical/computer science engineering in DC engrained a simple but powerful philosophy: âKeep calm and put the kettle on, because there is a solution to any problem.â
I enjoy listening to Tool, Buddy Guyâs Sweet Tea, reading about fractal mathematics, correlating unrelated sets of data, Philly sports & spending time with the greatest living creature on Godâs Green Planet: my puppy dog, Cow Zeus.
David Hahn
After working his way through school with jobs at an amusement park and a toy store, David decided to continue the fun by pursuing a career in digital media. He spent time at Mindshare and iMarketing where he gained valuable experience working on accounts such as Sprint, TV Guide Magazine, and Legal Seafoods before joining Morpheus Media in July of 2011.
Is his free time David enjoys listening to music, especially when he can experience it live surrounded by 3,000 of his closest friends. Heâs also an avid sports fan, but as a supporter of West Ham United, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Oklahoma Sooners, David has had his share of ups and downs over the years. Well, mostly downs. Despite the disappointment, he enters each new season with the feeling that this could finally be the year. Seriously. Up the Irons!
Molly Enbysk
Molly Enbysk hails from a suburb of Seattle, WA, where she learned to appreciate rainy days, Doc Martens and grunge music at an impressionable young age. The black sheep of her west coast-rooted family, she embarked eastward to attend college at Boston University, where she attained degrees in Advertising and English.
Her path toward a career working in fashion started in childhood with her love of drawing the models from ads in magazines. Coupled with growing up attending the chaotic annual Nordstrom Anniversly sale (she thrives in this atmosphere) Molly knew that whatever she did, it would involve clothes.
After starting out in NYC at a fashion print post-production studio, and interning at Lipman, a luxury fashion ad agency, Molly began working in digital media strategy at Universal McCann. Focusing on CPG, Molly yearned of leaving mass for class, which she did when she started as Display Strategist at Morpheus Media.
A naturally curious person who is also naturally picky, Molly enjoys trying new restaurants (and not liking the food), traveling, shopping, and discovering the many wonderful aspects of living in NYC that her past two years living here have not yet uncovered.
Tom Hebert
Tom is originally a native of New Jersey who has taken a long and varied journey only to end up close to where he started, right across the river in Brooklyn, NY. He began his education at a boys pre-prep school in a suburb of London and finished with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Shortly after graduating he made his way back north to the greatest city in the world (with a vacant bank account and an overstuffed U-Haul) to see if he could make it there. Six years later, he finds himself at Morpheus Media on the SEO team and he couldnât be happier about where his odyssey has led him.
During his free time Tom enjoys watching as much football and baseball as he can, with a strong focus on the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies. He also spends as much time as possible visiting beautiful Lake George in the Adirondacks with friends and family.
Lev Halibey
I like to employ a Magic School Bus Ms. Frizzle philosophy concerning life: "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" Whether it is through trying new foods, learning new things, or doing something reckless I like to employ an adventurous attitude. If you need a guinea pig to try something you're afraid of doing yourself, I'm probably the person you're looking for.
I was born and raised in New Jersey, graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in marketing, and look forward to beginning and continuing my career in SEO and online marketing with Morpheus Media. My hobbies include biking, skiing, building models and scuba diving and I strive to some day be considered as a true NJ tech diver.
Tom Conte
Tom joined the ranks of Morpheus Media after working as an SEO Specialist at LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, where he ran local and national campaigns for small and large law firms. His hobbies include spending too much time on the internet - an asset in the SEO industry - attending shows whenever possible, snowboarding, and cooking up a storm.
A New Jersey native, Tom left the bridge & tunnel life behind him to move to New York City. His heart, however, resides in New England, where he attended Providence, Rhode Island's Johnson & Wales University and obtained his B.A. in New Media and Web Management. Eternally optimistic and perpetually curious, his somewhat morbid sense of humor leaves him laughing at horror movies, zombies, and his own misfortunes. He takes his sweet time when it is his turn in Scrabble and likes to think he has a dashing smile.
Hilary Bromell
Hilary realized recently that she was at Morpheus Media before any other employee (partners excluded). She first started as an intern, home from college in Portland, Oregon, in December of 2005. Since then, she interned off and on before being hired full-time in July 2010. She spent the years prior to joining Morpheus occupied primarily as a full-time nerd, cupcake addict, and grammarianâthese are the by-products of studying literature at a small liberal arts college and working at a bakery. To give you an idea of what this means, she wrote her undergraduate thesis on gastronomic autobiography, titled âWhat We Write About When We Write About Foodâ (get it?).
Now, she works as an Associate Account Strategist for Lord & Taylor, TAG Heuer, and LâOreal, and harasses her teammates about improper semi-colon usage.
Hannah Siegel
Hannah was once told that a book about her life would be called "Life Appreciation as Art - A Life Lived by Hannah Siegel." This is probably true. Raised in a small city in Maine (she'll assure you it's the 3rd biggest), Hannah was excited to join Morpheus as one of many Brandeis alumni. Armed with degrees in Anthropology and International & Global Studies, a summer spent digging up bones in the north of Israel, and a title as a professional camp counselor, Hannah is now a Display Intern turned Associate Display Strategist.
Before she found out that the most interesting reading can be found in the pages of Media Plans, her favorite book was "The History of Love" and before she learned the majesty of excel pivot tables, the most revolutionary thing in her life was her mom's latkes. You can now generally find her telling people it's pronounced "Hannah" and not "Hannah" (the Ha is like laughing), accidentally slipping Hebrew into everyday conversation, and plotting her mid-life crisis (which she is certain will involve the opening of a children's bookstore called "The View From Saturday".) For now, though, she's content to play with very best dogs while QAing a lovely and never ending stream of creative tags.
Viola Gurvits
A believer of "Carpe Diem" I have the term branded on my back being carried off by a multi-colored bird. The bird is unique as my personality. My friends would describe me as energetic, ambitious, and personable.
I entered into the marketing field to fulfill my watching people obsession and curiosity on what makes a person do a specific action. As a little girl I would sit on a window ledge watching people walk through the streets of Moscow wondering where they came from and where they were going.
I've worked across multiple accounts including retail and automotive and now wines and spirits of the LVMH world. Mom told me not to drink to much. DId she forget we're Russian?
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said "It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great (wo)man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude."
Carpe Diem!
Tresten Lada
Born in Long Island New York, raised in southern Connecticut Tresten completed the tri-state circle by putting her residential stamp on Hoboken, NJ in early 2008. While she misses the quiet, fresh air of CT and the general acceptance of GREAT country music, she's now enjoying summers down the shore and the fantastic restaurants NY has to offer! Her feisty Italian family never lets her forget her roots and remains the most important thing to her.
From television news production to a proud "Morphe-ite" Tresten is excited to be apart of such a great community of people and looks forward to what the future holds!
Jen O'Brien
Jen hails from the great state of New Jersey, yes, the shore and proud of it. There is nothing wrong with a little Bruce and a fist pump every now and then. So if you're ever feeling a trip to the shore, feel free to join! When sheâs not watching Lifetime movies (for research purposes only, of course) you can find her listening to a very eclectic mix of music. She loves quoting random movies and you will most likely find her laughing anytime you walk by her desk.
Jen graduated from Monmouth University majoring in Communications with a minor in Spanish. Leaving behind her glamorous job as a pre-school Spanish teacher she jumped into the world of interactive marketing head first. The change from the beach to the Big Apple was well worth it and Jen is now working as an Associate Search Strategist at Morpheus. She will hopefully be trading in the NJ Transit for a modest NYC apartment very soon, but until then, you can find her enjoying life at the shore.
Stephanie Finkelstein
Stephanie Finkelstein is better defined by a smile than words. She is most often found playing Ultimate Frisbee, planning for her next tattoo, or laughing at herself.
After graduating from Ramapo College, in New Jersey, she found herself fascinated by the mystical world of SEO and the endless wonders of Social Media. Previous to coming to Morpheus Media, she worked for LexisNexis on Lawyers.com, but she always dreamt of handling SEO accounts for fashion, beauty and media brandsso we told her to join fun!
A perfect night for Stephanie would be jumping on a plane to Chicago to see her bro, or just staying home and secretly watching the Jersey Shore. She drinks imported beers, celebrates almost every holiday considering her mother is Mexican and her father is Jewish, and dislikes endless texting!
If you would like to know more about Stephanie, you might catch her underwater. Her secret talent, is the fact that she can hold her breath for long amounts of time. We are not exactly sure if this is good for her big brain, but we are willing to take the risk if she can dive for pearls!
Lauren Land
Lauren officially joined the Morpheus team in April of 2010, after learning the ins and out of Paid Search through working as an intern on amazing accounts like A&E and The History Channel. After years of working in very corporate cultures, the relaxed Morpheus environment was an extremely refreshing and welcome surprise.
With a Political Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Law degree from Cardozo, Lauren is thoughtful, analytical, secretly creative, and most importantly thrilled to be able to use all of these attributes in her role in Business Development.
Lauren brings a diverse and full background to Morpheus, having worked in civil litigation for a boutique law firm, corporate communications for a prominent publishing house, and research/editing for a stem cell doctor.
In her free time, you can find Lauren reading novels in coffee shops, playing chess and Super Mario with her nephews, talking about one day getting a hypo-allergenic puppy, and admiring art online.
Chiara Ravalli
Having recently graduated from New York University with a degree in European Studies and Communications, Chiara joined Morpheus full-time after 5 months of interning and began her career as an Associate Account Strategist.
Her unusual name always begs the question of her nationality. She is first generation American, with parents from Rome, Italy. She adores all things Italian -- ranging from fashion labels to movies but her absolute favorite is Nutella! Fluent in Italian and currently attempting to master French after having lived in Paris last year, Chiara is fascinated with different cultures and adores traveling. Having been to over ten countries already, she is constantly trying to dream up a new get-away destination to add to her list. Feel free to send her suggestions!
In her spare time, Chiara enjoys taking advantage of New York City as much as she can. Even though one would think there is probably not much left to see after being born and raised in the city, Chiara would beg to differ! She also enjoys trying new restaurants, shopping, watching movies and her favorite TV shows or just relaxing with her friends and family.
Gila Wilensky
Gila joined Morpheus as an SEM Account Strategist with a background in graphic design, food writing, and SEM. Gila graduated from McGill University in 2006 and her most enjoyable work experiences were as a food writer for Time Out Magazine and at an architecture firm here in New York City. Not a day goes by when someone mispronounces her name and/or she sneezes in triplicate, but she has learned to accept both of these facts as truth. In her spare time, Gila enjoys consuming large quantities of wine and cheese and trying out for Jeopardy.
Michael Horowitz
One of the few people working at Morpheus who isn't from New Jersey, Michael was born and raised on Long Island, and stands by the fact that it has better pizza than New York City.
Michael spends his days immersed in the world of display advertising, and loves to keep up with social media and technology blogs. Before finding his niche at Morpheus, Michael graduated from Pace University in 2009 and was a career intern working in the record industry. The casual atmosphere, insanely knowledgeable co-workers, constant flow of cupcakes and little dogs running around really make working here awesome.
A rabid music fan, gym rat and non-fiction reader, Michael can't find enough hours in the day for all of his hobbies. He likes listening to metal bands that scare your mom and has a 90's hip hop encyclopedia inside of his head. Aside from music, he also finds pleasure in riding his bike, snowboarding, Hefeweizen and eating things.
Stephen Racano
Stephen brings both marketing and technology together as an Senio SEO Strategist. His education includes a B.A. focused on advertising from the University of South Florida and a M.S. from University of Phoenix focused on Computer Information Systems.
He believes that computers can make any task more efficient, and spends most of his time on one. Stephen has a development background, beginning with his Webmaster Certificate from Florida State University. He is always looking to learn new technologies and program languages as he continues to develop new sites.
Stephen was born and raised in NJ, where he currently resides. When he gets time away from his computer, he also enjoys playing hockey and surfing.
Hanna Park
Born and raised a city girl in Seoul, Korea (that's South Korea, I am not a North Korean spy despite completely misinformed accusations), I moved to the exotic land of northern New Jersey, where I fostered my love of the so close, yet so far New York City. I vowed to come back someday when I had to move back to Korea after a few years, and I finally did after an 8-year long blip in Northern and Southern California. I graduated with a B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley, after writing a very uncontroversial senior thesis on Toni Morrison.
My nomadic life ultimately developed my passion for social media, which I strongly believe is the key to connecting and developing tangible communities around the world. Before Morpheus, I worked at Vitaminwater as a bottle-pusher; Sun Microsystems, where my Java specialty was the ingestible kind; and Stylesight, which exacerbated my shopping problem.
During my free time, I like to blog, act as a shameless hanger-on of select indie bands, practice French conversation, cafe-hop, try new restaurants, and watch foreign films. The best experience of my life was backpacking through Europe for a month after college graduation.
Eventually, I would like to own a small cottage in Paia, Maui, and surf and eat papaya every day.
Dave Surgan
Dave brings experience to his position at Morpheus from the Creative and Advertising Department at Barnes & Noble and Marketing and Promotions at House of Blues Orlando. With a sense of branding firmly in place, Dave followed his passions for online marketing, emerging technologies and social media to Morpheus where he has provided support on the Hennessy, Moët, Lord & Taylor, IFC and Sundance brands. This transition came naturally as Dave has his own NYC culture and events website and remains active in far too many social media communities than is healthy for one person. His current favorites include Tumblr, Twitter and Flickr.
Nora Walker
Nora has lived in NYC for the past ten years, which apparently is long enough to make her an "official" New Yorker, although she still prefers Chicago pizza, hot dogs, and sports teams (go Cubs! sigh..).
After graduating from New York University with a degree in Mass Media and Communications, she spent several years working in all aspects of the music industry doing everything from writing bios and press releases to music supervising and planning events and concerts for bands that she loved. She eventually worked as an A&R rep at a major record label where she listened to a lot of really bad demos, spent too much time standing in the corners of dark, crowded venues, and fetched vegan pizza (yuck) for some of your favorite (and not so favorite) rock stars.
Today, Nora is excited to bring her creativity and passion for all things online media to her clients at Morpheus, helping them shine as "rock stars" in Social Media. In her free time she writes her now 5 year old online music blog, still spends too much time seeing live music, and djs around the city. She also has the best iTunes library at Morpheus (true fact).
Simon Gibson
Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here"Â, Led Zepplin "IV"Ã, Radiohead "Ok Computer"Â, and Tool "Aenima"...just a few reasons why I fell head first into music and have been dedicated to its pursuit for the last ten years.
Minimum wage at a coffee shop, no savings, New York rent, and two band mates who worked there...just a few reasons why I jumped head first into Morpheus Media.
Working as an SEM Strategist here at Morpheus Media has been one of the few times I've been able to apply concepts from my artistic, creative side, to my analytical, math oriented way of thinking. It's actually very similar to writing music in a lot of ways. You come up with a creative idea, you use your knowledge and originality to blend and mold those ideas into an approach. You have an idea of the finish line, but must be able to adapt to changes in any and all directions. And that's what I do in both my jobs.
Ken Seligman
OK, so I've been here a year and I still haven't posted one of these pages. Why you ask? Too busy? Can't possibly imagine what you want to read about me? Waiting for Divine Inspiration (with low expectations)? Perhaps a bit of all these things.
But the time has come, something has gotta go up. So, here we go. Stay tuned for an actual spark of genius (or some less powerful approximation thereof).

Yep, you got it, in no particular order until that last one.
OK, so since that's the best you're gonna get for now, I'll leave you with this thought:
"As you travel on through life, whatever be your goal, keep your eye upon the donut, and NOT upon the hole."

Justin Weag
Justin brings diversified experience to Morpheus, previously hailing from a tradeshow and event marketing agency that focused on traditional and face to face advertising. With a degree in Information Science and specialization in traditional advertising, Justin's aspirations led to the booming world of digital marketing here at Morpheus Media. Justin has a strong drive to succeed, loves challenges, and thrives when learning new things. This makes the world of digital marketing and search engine optimization a perfect fit.
On a personal note, he is an avid sports fan in rooting for the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia Flyers. Yes, those are very odd sports allegiances, but are explained by his attendance at Villanova University as an undergraduate. Additionally, he loves to travel visiting places such as England, Ireland, Spain, and the Caribbean.
Some quotes he lives by:
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. " - Buddha
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." - Robert Frost
"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." - Confucius
"Fortune and love favor the brave." - Ovid
Alexis Kaplan
If they made a Morpheus Media foam finger, Alexis would be the first to sport it. And not just around the office, she'd wear it at the supermarket, concerts and in the shower. Alexis really enjoys her job. Especially when her pooch Leroy's by her side, which is pretty much always. On her spare time, this graphic designer turned Associate Account Strategist enjoys cheeseburgers, salami, tomatos, pickles, and free-refill fountain drinks, of diet coke mainly. She definitely didn't write her own bio. She's much too modest for that. And awesome.
Mychal Turpin
His name is pronounced "Michael", not "Michelle", and not "My-shall".
Often misunderstood, whether it is his name, a cab driver asking if he is from some
far-off country, or just a random person saying he must be an artist.
While being ethnically ambiguous with an afro everyone requests to touch has reaped a lot of rewards, he still feels the best part of his life is still ahead of him.
After being hired by Morpheus the first thing he did was reward himself with a yoga membership, even though coworkers swear he carries around a yoga mat to achieve his "Brooklyn yoga look", he really does go to class. When he is not centering himself in his practice he is balancing different flavors in
the kitchen exploring his love for food. His other interest include his long love for playing soccer and his new fling with photography. At Morpheus he looks forward to determining users' intent and finding creative ways to
engage them with our different clients.
His favorite quote is
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. - Mahatma Gandhi
Ben Beyda
Ever since my first computer (IBM Aptiva!) I have tried to stay at the forefront of technology and the internet's evolution. Both have come a long, long way from the days of Prodigy and floppy disk drives. Since those early days I've been a frequent beta tester (for some amazing products like Hulu.com) and early adopter of new products (like the Creative Nomad Jukebox and the substantially better first gen iPod).
When I first heard of search engine optimization I was pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. I started doing freelance work for small businesses in New York and quickly noticed my interest in SEO was growing. At that point I began to fuse elements of psychology with SEO and contemplated a full time career in the field.
As an Associate SEO and Emerging Technologies strategist I not only work in an exciting and growing industry, but I'm also required to pursue my passion for emerging technologies as part of my job. I now use my background and interests to better understand why users and search engines think and behave as they do.
A few random facts about me: Even though I live in Manhattan I am more of a country mouse than a city mouse. I like digital photography and enjoy many different types of music (the last 3 artists played in iTunes: Bob Dylan, MGMT, Blue Scholars). I am often told I don't have a Long Island accent which, I think I dodged as a first generation American.

NJ Transit is the worst
My dog weighs four pounds
Simple and intelligible, this Haiku was written by James Simon 2 & 1/2 years after his journey started at Morpheus. Prior to his tenure, James worked as a Managing Director for a large retail chain. In a recent interview with Mr. Simon, he stated the reasons why he left his previous position, "I hated it!"
Born and raised in East Brunswick, NJ, James is an Associate Director of Media Strategy at Morpheus. He oversees a plethora of client brands ranging from high-end retail clients all the way to entertainment. Some of his unusual interests include little dogs, a 4-pound teacup poodle and a 7-pound chihuahua, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, LOST, and Wii Mario Kart.
James' love for Morpheus can be easily seen on a daily basis:
"The culture, the employees, the Open Door Policy for all the executives, the dogs, and the incredible sense of family are my main reasons why I cherish the opportunity I have received here."

Jeremy Chang
After Jeremy had graduated from University of Delaware about 7 years ago he decided to pursue one of his passions which was music. He quickly packed up his bags, moved to NY and started working at Warner Music Group. After several years of working with artists and going out more often than he should have, he decided to pursue another passion, online media. He was lucky enough to receive a job offer from Morpheus and things have been gravy since.
Now he spends his days, working with luxury clients and keeping up with all the latest happenings in the online industry. Like almost everyone he knows, he loves to travel, read, watch sports and enjoy life, but realistically he spends most of his time eating, hanging out, eating some more and trying to make his wonderful clients happy!

Jeffrey Capossela
Jeffrey Capossela is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he mastered his skills in painting and design, and soon after jumped into the world of traditional advertising in Midtown Manhattan. With 7 years of "real world" experience under his belt, since leaving the Ocean State, he has needless to say found himself with some eclectic jobs along the way (including but not limited to: selling wine in the West Village and helping motorcycle techs get the parts to fix a fried clutch at a Manhattan motorcycle dealership).
Now at Morpheus Media Jeff finds himself on the SEO Team dabbling in all areas of the business. On any given day he can be found constructing detailed wire-frames or optimizing a site for the search engine crawlers. All in all Jeff is enjoying being a part of this emerging industry.
In his free time Jeff stills loves to paint (you may see one of his paintings hanging in the Morpheus office) and enjoys stopping in at the local music venues to check out his favorite bands. He loves sushi and Aquarians. Some may say he's obsessed with the Yankees and the Rangers, but he'd call it more of a profound passion. So, during baseball and hockey season you know where you can find him: planted in front of a TV watching the games with some sushi and sake.
Peter Gray
Painting by numbers: As an economic major and art studio minor in college, Peter has always found his interests to be in conflict with one another, having a real interest for economic theories, at the same time a passion for digital photography and modern art. As a new arrival to New York City, hailing from upstate New York, representing the Roc (Rochester NY), everything is still new and exciting to him. As a person that does not enjoy driving, he finds the Subway to be the best thing since slice bread. Music is one of his major vices and the New York indie music scene is overflowing with talented bands, good or bad he is there.
As a new member to the Morpheus Media Team like a sponge he is soaking up knowledge from the talent around him, Peter is a Search and Emerging Media Strategist working on a team in charge of 11 clients ranging from cosmetics to high end jewelry.
Outside of work you can find Peter hanging out with friends, at concerts, sporting events, or taking pictures around the city.
Amanda DeVincentis
A New Jersey native and Rutgers College alumni, Amanda didn't travel too far to join the Morpheus Media team. When she's not busy media planning she's spending time with her friends and family, dreaming of her next travels, or ironically, still attached to her computer. Amanda loves music, dancing, trying new foods, and indulging in addicting reality television. She enjoys entertainment and magazines. She likes to write, to bake, and celebrities are her obsession - in the least superficial way possible. After almost two amazing years at Morpheus, she is excited about how much the company has grown and to be a part of it's continued success.
Scott Elliott
Born in El Paso Texas and almost a lifelong New Jersey resident, Scott Elliott is the Accounting and Operations Manager at Morpheus Media. Though he has a Psychology Degree from Rutgers University, Scott has parlayed his skills with accounting and numbers into a challenging career choice. Scott has partially traveled the globe, visiting 10 foreign countries to date and most of the United States, with many more travels on the horizon. Scott is addicted to all types of media including music, film, technology and video games and is as comfortable on the couch as he is performing a marriage as an ordained reverend. "I look forward to many more productive and creative years in my professional life at Morpheus."
David Levine
Born and raised in New Jersey, David moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend The Ohio State University, and Franklin University. After earning a Marketing degree, he felt it was time to leave the Midwest and put his talents to work in the Big Apple. As the Senior Ad Operations Strategist, David works closely with our Clients to assure their Creative Branding Campaigns are running as planned.
When David is not hard at work at Morpheus, he is enjoying his other interests in life. Some of these include: Spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, listening to Pearl Jam and Howard Stern, going to concerts, walking around New York City giving tourists inaccurate directions, and praying the NY Jets win the Super Bowl in his lifetime.
Halie Ritterman
They say good things come in small packages, and Halie Ritterman is just that. At a towering 5 foot 3 inches, Halie joined Morpheus after returning from every New Yorkers ten minute stint in LA. With a newfound appreciation for fake blonde hair, and intellectual conversation, Halie brings not only water cooler convos about LOST to the Morpheus team but a language all her own. Whether she is adding extra syllables or creating new words altogether, her penchant for the unordinary has given her a leg (albeit a small leg) up on her competitors. As an Associate Director of Client and Media Strategy, Halie's unique words and pleasant nature add not only value but comedic relief for the team.
Marius Draghici
Born and raised in Bucharest (Romania), Marius joined Morpheus after graduating SUNY at Stony Brook with a Computer Science degree. As an Information Technology Manger, Marius serves as the main point of contact for all areas involving computing technologies: from hardware and software purchasing or debugging to researching and implementing new solutions. Although he doesn't have time anymore to pursue his passion for climbing, Marius still enjoys hiking occasionally and dreams of tackling the Eiger's wall someday.
Mary Duffy
Whether I'm on a call discussing strategy or in a meeting, you'll often find me downing as much coffee as time can afford. However, I only eat cupcakes after 3pm. It's a rule. While away from the office, it's not uncommon to see me walking through Central Park (coffee in hand, of course), at a dive bar on the Upper West side (no coffee here, just Hefeweizen), or walking into any old corner market "just to browse." One of my favorite things to do? Read the informational labels on packaged goods. I've been doing this since I learned to read. As a kid at the breakfast table, I'd line up all the cereal boxes in front of me so I could read them all while I ate. Then, I'd quiz my sisters on what percentage of their daily value of Vitamin C is in a serving and how many grams are in a serving. Now that I am working in online advertising, my focus has shifted a bit.....from nutritional servings to ad serving!
