The problem with this I see is that, once again, the musician gets the shaft. They lure you in with buiding the cash via fans to make a $50,000 recording (luring a band with free recording and production goes way back, remember the “spec deal”?) and then they offer your music via download for free (they get all the rights to this recorded music, big surprise)… but wait… the band will get paid…via ad impressions that go with the download…and we, in this industry, sure know how many impressions it takes to make an honest buck. As a musician i’m feeling a little bit hesitant with this product.
