Once again I am surprised at how quickly we find ourselves immersed knee deep in the holiday season. The last minute shopping, all the travel logistics, and of course the end of year work loads thatseem to conspire to make even those of us with the largest of hearts a bit irritable.
So I thought it was important to take a moment and reflect on what this time of year is all about to me.
I believe that no matter what holidays you chose to call your own, they all can be boiled down to one simple truth around this time of year. And that truth is that no matter who you are or where you are from, the only thing of value any of us really have in this world are our friends and family.
This evening I look forward to attending the annual Morpheus Media Winter Gala. And if years past are any indicator of tonight’s festivities, everyone will be having a great time.
But more importantly I just wanted to note that I am pretty lucky. Not that I just have a job I enjoy, but much more importantly, I get to call those I work with friends. In an industry based on bottom lines and ROI things can get dicey and the nights can get long. So knowing that those around you have your back makes the tough days much more digestible. Not to mention they allow me to babble here on the blog.
So as I get the opportunity to enjoy the company of friends tonight, I hope that no matter where you are in the world, everyone takes a few moments to appreciate those around us who make things worth doing.
Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
